New Haven
The Challenge
The building is old, and the subfloor had soft spots near the radiators.
Our Approach
We replaced the soft spots with new plywood and laid oak in a direction that hides the uneven walls.
The Process
Strips were nailed down over rosin paper, then the floor was sanded and sealed with a durable finish.
Materials and Finish
Two and a quarter inch red oak, plywood patches and a satin finish.
The Result
The unit looks fresh and is easier to keep clean between tenants.
