The Challenge
The oak had a few replaced sections from old repairs that took stain differently.
Our Approach
We water popped the grain so the whole floor drinks the stain evenly and tested the old and new sections side by side.
The Process
The espresso was rubbed in by hand, room by room, then sealed with three layers of satin.
Materials and Finish
Espresso stain, water popping and a satin finish.
The Result
The floor reads as one rich color, and the light walls pop against it.
