The Challenge
The old laminate was floating over a very uneven subfloor, and the kitchen sat lower than the living room.
Our Approach
We removed the laminate, built up the low spots with plywood and leveled everything before any oak went down.
The Process
The white oak was glued and nailed, sanded on site and finished in a matte that keeps it light.
Materials and Finish
Four inch white oak, subfloor leveling and a matte finish.
The Result
The main floor feels open and bright, and the dip into the kitchen is gone.
