The Challenge
The front rooms share an opening with the hall, which still had its original oak.
Our Approach
We wove the new strips into the hall floor at the opening so there is no threshold and no seam.
The Process
After the install, the new and old oak were sanded together and finished in one pass.
Materials and Finish
Two and a quarter inch red oak, woven transition and a satin finish.
The Result
The front rooms and the hall now look like one original floor.
