The Challenge
Squeaks come from loose wood rubbing on nails or subfloor. Covering them up only hides the problem for a while.
Our Approach
We found the loose spots, screwed the subfloor from below where we could and replaced the cracked strips.
The Process
The new strips were blended in, the area was sanded and sealed so it matches the rest of the room.
Materials and Finish
Replacement oak strips, subfloor screws and a satin finish.
The Result
The floor is quiet now and the repairs are invisible.
