The Challenge
The stairs run three stories, and the treads at the top were a different width than the ones at the bottom.
Our Approach
We measured every step on its own and cut each oak tread to fit, keeping the nosing line straight from top to bottom.
The Process
Treads were glued and nailed, stained to match the halls and sealed, with the risers painted white.
Materials and Finish
Solid oak treads cut to each step, painted risers and a satin finish.
The Result
Three floors of stairs now look like one clean line from the front door to the top.
