The Challenge
The carpet hid rough pine steps, and the bottom step was a wide bullnose that needed a custom piece.
Our Approach
We cut a template for the bullnose and ordered a matching oak piece, then fit every straight tread to its step.
The Process
Treads were glued and nailed, risers painted white, and the treads stained to match the hall before sealing.
Materials and Finish
Solid oak treads, custom bullnose step, painted risers and a satin finish.
The Result
The stairs now match the hall and look original to the house.
