The Challenge
Ebony stain shows every sanding mark, and the old oak had different patches from past repairs.
Our Approach
We sanded with finer and finer paper, water popped the grain and stained a test patch in each section to check the color match.
The Process
The stain was applied by hand in sections, then sealed with three layers of satin to protect the dark color.
Materials and Finish
Ebony stain, water popping and a satin finish.
The Result
The floors look deep and even from wall to wall, and the plaster details stand out beautifully.
