Walkthrough Before We Start
Ahead of the first day, our lead installer tours the rooms with you, testing the subfloor for soft spots and checking how each doorway will meet the new wood.

Our installers hold NWFA certification and carry a license and full insurance, so your house is protected while saws and nailers are running inside.
On start day we measure once more and count the cartons, the reducers and the trim pieces, so nothing runs short halfway across the living room.
Twelve months of coverage on how we put it down, plus whatever warranty the wood's maker includes.

Planks follow the longest wall in one straight line, a clean look that keeps waste to a minimum.

Square ended pieces zigzag across the floor and give a den a warm, settled feel.

Mitered ends meet in crisp points that pull your eye down a long front hallway.

Laying planks on an angle opens up a narrow bedroom and disguises walls that drift out of square.

Little square blocks, each rotated against the next, make a neat grid beneath a dining table.

Pairs of short strips change direction in every square, a handmade look that suits a quiet study.

Nailing it down costs $2.25/Sq Ft in labor, with underlayment and nails included. If you buy the wood from us too, it comes to $5.50/Sq Ft installed for unfinished oak, or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Wood shrinks a little when the air gets dry and opens back up in summer. We let the planks settle in the house first and test the subfloor, and a humidifier near the stove helps a lot.
Usually they will. We hold samples against your old floor to compare width and species, and then both rooms get sanded together so the color reads as one, at $2.50/Sq Ft.
Go floating below grade. For $2.00/Sq Ft we lay the foam and the planks, we supply the joint glue, and nothing gets fastened into the concrete.
Wood usually ships from Coventry within a day, and our people get going as soon as it lands in your driveway. We can book Saturdays and Sundays as well.
A new hardwood tread is $60 per step. If your steps are solid oak already and only need sanding, refinishing is $50 per step, stained to match.
Labor gets paid the morning our installers show up, and the wood gets paid as it's unloaded. Sanding jobs split in two, half when we start and half when we wrap up.
Our own installers, NWFA certified, licensed and insured. Their workmanship is guaranteed a whole year past the final plank, and if something needs attention we come back.
