Walkthrough Before We Start
Before any board is cut, the lead installer walks the house, taps the subfloor for soft spots and checks how each doorway sits against the new height.

Everyone on the job is a Brazil Floors employee who is licensed, insured and NWFA certified. We never hand a Wenham floor to a subcontractor.
We measure every room again on the install day. Cartons are counted, thresholds are laid out and the first row is snapped to a chalk line that follows your longest wall.
You get one year on our labor, and the mill warranty on the boards themselves. If a seam opens or a board lifts in the first year, call us and we come back.

Boards run along the longest wall, the layout that wastes the least wood and makes a long living room look calm.

Short pieces turned ninety degrees form a stepped zigzag, cut one by one for a formal dining room in an older colonial.

Each plank end is cut at forty five degrees, so the rows meet in sharp arrows that lead the eye down a hall.

Rows set on a diagonal stretch a narrow bedroom and hide a wall that has drifted out of square.

Oak squares turned against each other build a tidy grid, a traditional pick for a study or sunroom.

Short strips woven over and under, often with a darker border, bring an antique look to a front hall.

Nailing the oak down runs $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, with nails and underlayment part of that number. With the wood from us, unfinished oak is $5.50/Sq Ft installed and prefinished is $6.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered planks floated over underlayment cope better with seasonal moisture, and labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft. We check the subfloor at the estimate before recommending anything.
Yes. Tear-out of carpet, tile or worn boards is about $1.00/Sq Ft, and our crew hauls the debris away. Moving furniture out and back is a flat $250.
Often, yes. We bring samples to the house, hold them against your current floor and trim, and stain unfinished oak to blend where the two meet.
Next day from our Natick warehouse once you order. The crew then plans the start around the delivery and the room schedule.
We do. A new oak tread with riser, nosing and stain is $60, and sound existing steps can be refinished for $50 per step.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives. Material is paid when the boxes are delivered, and refinishing is split 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
Our labor has a one year warranty, and the manufacturer stands behind the planks. The estimate visit is free and the crew is licensed and insured.
