Walkthrough Before We Start
Decades-old Stoneham houses settle unevenly, and carpet can hide a lot. The lead installer checks the subfloor, door heights and stair landings before a carton is cut open.

Nobody is subbed out. Each installer is a Brazil Floors employee with NWFA certification, a license and insurance.
On the day of the job the room is measured once more, cartons get stacked inside and transitions are laid out at each opening, so the first nail goes in without hunting for parts.
Twelve months of warranty on our labor, together with the mill's warranty on the boards, mean both workmanship and wood are covered.

Boards follow the longest wall, using the least wood and letting a narrow room look longer.

Short pieces set at right angles form a zigzag that gives a dining room a classic woven look.

Mitered ends at 45 degrees make each row meet in a point, a clean choice for an open plan kitchen.

Diagonal planks open up a small bedroom and disguise corners that are not quite square.

Oak squares with the grain alternating form a parquet grid suited to a sunroom.

Basket weave pairs short strips that change direction, a careful detail for a den in an older two-story house.

Hardwood nailed down is $2.25/Sq Ft in labor, nails and underlayment bundled in. Add our boards and the package becomes $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. The crew removes the carpet and padding, pulls the tack strips, repairs weak subfloor spots and then nails hardwood over sound plywood.
Engineered hardwood floated over underlayment with glued seams, since nothing is fastened into the slab. Labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, both a good fit for basements and playrooms.
Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft. If you would rather not lift furniture, moving it is a flat $250.
The day after ordering, loaded at the Natick warehouse. Payment for material is due as the boxes arrive.
As soon as the crew arrives and begins. Sanding is the exception, paid 50% up front and 50% at the final coat.
Our one year labor warranty answers for the work, and the manufacturer answers for the wood. You get licensed, insured, NWFA certified employees, not subcontractors.
