Walkthrough Before We Start
Old farmhouses settle, and a floor that has carried a century of boots is rarely flat. Our lead installer checks the subfloor, the thresholds and the stairs before a single board is opened.

The people in your house are our own payroll employees, never subcontractors. They hold a license, carry insurance and are NWFA certified.
On the morning of the job the crew measures again, stacks the cartons in the room and sets out reducers at the doorways, so the nailer never waits on a missing piece.
We stand behind our labor for one year. The oak itself is backed by the manufacturer, so the work and the wood both have coverage.

Boards run with the long wall, which wastes the least wood and suits a narrow farmhouse parlor.

Short pieces set in a zigzag give a dining room an old-fashioned, woven look.

Each plank end is cut at 45 degrees so the seams form chevron arrows that lead the eye down a long room.

A diagonal lay stretches a small bedroom and hides walls that have drifted out of square over the years.

Parquet squares with the grain turned in alternate blocks look sharp in a sunroom facing the water.

Basket weave alternates short strips in an over-under pattern, a handsome detail for a den in an older home near Chocksett.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft and covers the nails and underlayment. With material from us the package is $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished oak or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Usually yes. The lead installer walks the rooms with a straightedge, then we fasten down loose spots or add plywood so the oak lies flat, and any extra work is written into the estimate.

We do. Labor is $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl plank and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate, which is a practical choice for a mudroom or a basement near the pond.
Yes. Tear-out of old flooring runs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and furniture moving is a flat $250 if you want us to handle the rooms.
Boxes leave our Natick warehouse and reach Sterling the following day, and the material bill comes due on that delivery.
The labor bill comes due as the crew walks in and starts. A sanding job splits evenly, 50% on day one and 50% with the last coat.
Our labor carries a one year warranty and the flooring carries its manufacturer warranty. Everyone on site draws a Brazil Floors paycheck and holds an NWFA certification, a license and insurance.
