The installers in your home are our own employees with NWFA certification, and we carry a full license plus insurance. We do not hand jobs to subcontractors.
On install morning we measure again, open the boxes, mix lengths from several cartons and set out thresholds at each doorway so the job moves smoothly.
If anything goes wrong with our work during year one, a crew returns at no charge, and the wood maker covers its product too.

Rows running along the longest wall, simple, timeless and the most efficient use of every carton.

Short planks meeting end to side in a zigzag, a classic look for a front room near Prospect Hill.

Angled ends meet in a crisp point, drawing your eye down a long hallway toward the back windows.

Laying the floor at an angle can make a small room feel wider and hide walls that are a bit out of square.

Small squares of oak with the grain turned in alternating directions, a nice choice for a dining area.

Pairs of strips switch direction across the room for a woven look that holds up to a closer look.

For solid oak nailed to your subfloor, labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, underlayment included. Buying the oak through us at contractor pricing? Then unfinished costs $5.50/Sq Ft with installation, or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. Our crew carries every carton up the stairs, so a top floor unit near Davis Square is no problem and costs nothing extra.
Many associations have rules about underlayment and work hours. Send us those rules and we will plan the install to meet them.
Usually the next day, since we keep stock in our own Coventry warehouse. After delivery, solid oak needs a short stay indoors to adjust before nailing.
We can do it. Removal is about $1.00/Sq Ft for carpet or old flooring, and we haul the debris away so nothing ends up on the sidewalk.
Our crew can, for a flat $250. Sofas, beds and bookcases go into another room before we start and return once the new floor is finished.
Labor is settled the morning the installers start, and for any wood from us when it is delivered. We never ask for money months in advance.
Yes. We back every installation in Somerville for a year on labor, while the company that made your hardwood has its own warranty on the product.
