Walkthrough Before We Start
Before a single board is opened, the crew lead walks your Pembroke rooms, taps for soft spots, checks door clearances and decides which direction the rows will run.

The person kneeling on your subfloor draws a Brazil Floors paycheck, never an outside subcontractor. Each holds a license, insurance and an NWFA certificate.
On the first morning we recount cartons, stage the trim and thresholds near each doorway and acclimate nothing to chance, so the nailer works without stopping to hunt for pieces.
You get one year on our labor from the day we finish, and the mill backs the wood with its own written warranty on the material.

Rows follow the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and stretches a narrow cape living room.

Short pieces set at right angles form a zigzag, a good look for a dining room that wants some texture.

Each board end is cut at 45 degrees so the rows meet in a sharp V, handsome across an open plan.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye toward the far corner, so a compact kitchen reads bigger.

Squares of oak with the grain turned in alternate directions make a parquet effect for a sunroom or den.

Short oak lengths woven over and under, usually edged with a darker border, give an entry hall real presence.

For nail down work you pay $2.25/Sq Ft in labor, and the fasteners and underlayment sit inside that rate. If we also supply the wood, the package is $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. We pull the carpet and pad, remove the tack strips, screw down any loose subfloor and tear-out runs about $1.00/Sq Ft. Then the oak goes on sound plywood.
Engineered hardwood floated over foam, because nothing needs to be driven into the slab. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and both are good picks for rooms that see water.
A truck leaves our Natick warehouse the following day with your boxes. Your estimator will go over the start date when you sign off on the quote.
A new hardwood tread is $60, which covers the tread, riser, nosing, stain and the labor. Refinishing treads that are still sound is $50 per step.
The crew is paid on arrival for labor, and the boxes are paid for as they come off the truck. Any sanding work is billed in two halves, one at the first cut and one at the last coat.
Our labor carries a one year warranty and the wood carries the maker warranty. Every installer is on our payroll and holds a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
