Walkthrough Before We Start
Farmhouses and mill-era homes here often have floors that dip or slope, so our lead checks the subfloor, the thresholds and the stair landings in your Orange house before a board goes down.

Everyone who steps into your home is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so you are protected for the full length of the job.
On day one the crew measures each room and stacks cartons, trim and transitions close to the work area, which keeps the install moving without hunting for pieces.
You get a year of warranty on our labor, and the boards themselves keep the maker's warranty. Both the work and the wood stay covered.

Boards follow the long wall because that layout wastes the least wood. A narrow cape near Chestnut Hill looks longer for it.

Short pieces are set at right angles in a stepped pattern, each one cut by hand. It fits a formal dining room in an older house in town.

Each board end is cut at 45 degrees so the rows meet in a sharp V. A good match for an open plan in a newer home near Lake Rohunta.

Diagonal planks pull the eye across the room, which gives a small den by Temple Hill more reach.

Oak squares alternate their grain for a parquet look. A classic choice for a sitting room or sunporch.

Narrow strips woven over and under, often ringed by a dark border. Old homes close to the Peace Statue carry this style well.

Labor for nail-down oak is $2.25/Sq Ft and the nails and underlayment are part of that. With the wood supplied by us, unfinished runs $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. We pull the carpet, pad and tack strips, repair any weak spots in the subfloor, and then fasten the new boards. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered planks. They float on a foam layer with glued joints, so nothing is nailed into the slab. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
They can. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and either one makes sense for a damp cellar or a cabin-style room.
The boxes leave our Natick warehouse and are at your door by the following day, and the crew plans its start around that drop-off.
Each new hardwood tread is $60 and the riser, nosing, stain and labor ride along in that price. Stairs you already own can be refinished at $50 per step instead.
Labor is settled once the crew shows up and starts, while material is settled as the boxes come off the truck. A sanding job divides into 50% at the first pass and 50% with the last coat.
The labor behind your floor is warrantied for a year, and the boards come with the maker's own coverage. Everyone who works in your Orange home holds a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
