Walkthrough Before We Start
Ludlow has mill-village homes and postwar capes, and floors in both can sag or soften over the years. Our lead presses on the subfloor, checks each threshold and studies the stairs before giving a number.

We do not hire out the work. Every installer is a Brazil Floors employee who holds a license, insurance and an NWFA certificate.
Rooms are measured at the estimate and again on day one. The cartons, trim and reducers are placed by each opening so the crew never stops to hunt for a piece.
Our workmanship is warranted for twelve months. The maker stands behind the boards, so the job has coverage from both sides.

Rows follow the longest wall, which cuts waste and makes a small living room look longer.

Short boards zigzag at right angles, cut piece by piece, a traditional touch for a dining room.

Planks mitered at 45 degrees meet in neat arrows that carry the eye across an open kitchen.

Boards laid at a slant widen a narrow bedroom and distract from walls that wander.

Oak blocks with grain alternating from square to square give a sunroom a parquet pattern.

Short pieces woven over and under, with a dark edging, fit the entry hall of an older house.

A nail-down floor is $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, and nails and underlayment are part of it. With our wood, the installed rate is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. Removing the existing floor costs about $1.00/Sq Ft, and we confirm it when we measure at the free estimate.
It is, with engineered planks. They float on padding with glued seams, nothing is nailed into the slab, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Unfinished is sanded and sealed in the room, so the surface is continuous and the color is yours to choose. Prefinished saves time and keeps dust to a minimum.
The Natick warehouse delivers the next day. Samples come with us to the house during the estimate.
Furniture moving is a flat $250. New oak treads are $60 each, and refinishing existing steps is $50 per step.
The labor fee is due when the crew arrives and begins. Material is due as the boxes are delivered, and sanding splits into 50% up front and 50% at the final coat.
Labor carries one year from us, and the flooring has the manufacturer's warranty. The installers are employees, licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
