Walkthrough Before We Start
Our lead installer comes first, tapping the subfloor, sighting each doorway and trying the stairs, since salt air and Buzzards Bay damp can leave a Falmouth floor out of flat.

Nobody on your floor is a subcontractor. Every installer is employed by Brazil Floors, licensed, insured and holding an NWFA credential.
The crew re-measures every room on day one, stacks the boxes in the rooms they belong to and lines up the trim by the front door so the nailer keeps moving.
One year of warranty covers our workmanship, and the mill's warranty covers the boards, so the labor and the lumber each have backing.

Boards follow the long wall, so the scrap pile is small and a modest den stretches out.

Short planks angled in a zigzag lend an old village hallway a handcrafted, period feel.

Boards cut at mirrored angles meet at a crisp point, ideal for the open plans in newer homes toward East Falmouth.

Rows laid corner to corner at 45 degrees pull the eye across and open up a small bedroom.

Oak blocks set with grain turned in alternate directions create a parquet floor, a classic for a sunroom near Surf Drive.

Strips woven under and over with a dark border give a dining room in an older Woods Hole house extra character.

Our nail down crew charges $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, and the nails and underlayment need no separate line. With us supplying the wood, the total is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. Old flooring comes out first at about $1.00/Sq Ft, then we check the base and fix soft spots before any oak goes down.
It can, which is why we test moisture beforehand and leave an expansion gap at the walls. In a damp lower level, a dehumidifier keeps the planks stable.
Yes. Leave a key or lockbox code and the crew manages delivery, installation and cleanup. Labor is paid when the work starts.
It ships from the Natick warehouse the day after you order. Unfinished oak should rest indoors a few days first, but prefinished often goes down sooner.
Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate is $1.99/Sq Ft. For anything that gets wet, vinyl is the better choice.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives, and the material when boxes are dropped off. Sanding is split into two halves, one when work starts and one at the last coat.
Yes, with a year on labor and the maker's warranty on the planks. Each installer is licensed, insured and certified by the NWFA.
