Walkthrough Before We Start
Older East Greenwich homes can hide surprises, so our lead installer starts by checking each doorway, the subfloor and the stairs.

Every installer we send out is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so the home and everyone living in it are protected from start to finish.
Our first day starts with a new measurement of every room and a tally of each box, trim length and reducer, so nothing comes up short.
One year of warranty covers our labor, and the wood keeps the warranty from its maker, so both the work and the boards are protected.

Long oak boards run in straight rows, the timeless look you see in so many historic houses off Main Street.

Short planks laid in a zigzag dress up a formal dining room in the historic district and match the old trim.

Plank ends are cut on a slant so the rows form a sharp V, a sleek look for the open layouts in Frenchtown homes.

A long hallway in an older house near the harbor looks wider when the oak is set at 45 degrees across the floor.

Small oak squares turn their grain like a chessboard, a bright look for a sunroom in a home facing the cove.

Short strips go in pairs, each pair rotated a quarter turn, so a den in a historic home gets a warm, woven feel.

Nailing it down costs a flat rate of $2.25/Sq Ft, and that covers underlayment and nails. Add our wood and it runs $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00 prefinished.
Yes, every week. We pull baseboards by hand, label them and put them back, and we undercut the door casings so the new oak slides right under.
Engineered hardwood. It floats on a layer of underlayment with the seams glued, so nothing goes into the concrete, and labor is $2.00/Sq Ft in total.
Yes, often. For wide planks we nail and glue for $2.50/Sq Ft in labor. We bring the nails, and the glue is billed apart, based on the square footage.
The next day. Our warehouse in Coventry ships it, and we deliver Sunday to Sunday, so there is no week of waiting for your boxes to show up.
New oak treads are $60 each. For wooden steps that only look worn, we refinish at $50 a step, with a stain picked to match the floors upstairs.
Labor is paid on the day the crew starts, and material on the day it is delivered. For sanding we split it, 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
You get a one year warranty on labor and the manufacturer warranty on the flooring, from installers who are licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
