No subcontractors here. The people who show up are on our payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and they answer to us for the whole job.
Day one begins with tape measures. Every room gets a count, and cartons, trim and transitions are staged near the door before the first row goes down.
We stand behind our labor for a full year, and the oak carries the mill warranty on top. If something moves, we come back and fix it.

Running boards down the length of the room cuts waste and makes a tight hallway look longer.

Short pieces set in a zigzag at right angles, cut one at a time. It echoes the early floors in the old homes around the Green.

Each row is mitered so the seam forms a tidy V down the center, a good fit for open plans.

Planks set at 45 degrees pull the eye across the room and make a small cape on Library Road feel wider.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, in the parquet tradition. Lovely in a sitting room on Westminster Road.

Short strips woven over and under, often finished with a darker border. It suits the front rooms of older Canterbury colonials.

Nail down installation costs $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, nails and underlayment included. Buy the oak through us and the package comes to $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.

We do, at $2.00/Sq Ft for vinyl plank labor and $1.99/Sq Ft for laminate. Vinyl is the better call for damp mudrooms and cellars.
The next day from our Milford warehouse. Once the boxes are at the house, the crew can start almost immediately.
A new tread is $60, with riser, nosing and stain. If your stairs have good wood left, refinishing them runs $50 per step.
The crew is paid on arrival and the material is paid as boxes come off the truck. Any sanding is billed half at the start and half once the last coat is on.
Our labor is warrantied for one year and the planks carry the manufacturer warranty. Licensing, insurance and NWFA certification come with every person we send.
