Ayer has Victorians near the train station and ranches out by Sandy Pond, and their subfloors differ. The lead installer checks each one for soft spots, door clearances and square before the plan is drawn.

Everyone working in your Ayer home is on our payroll, licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and we trained them ourselves.
On the first morning the crew remeasures every room, counts the cartons, sets transitions at the doorways and marks the first row so the floor runs true.
Workmanship is covered for twelve months by Brazil Floors, and the planks keep whatever warranty their mill provides.

Rows run with the longest wall, least cutting and least waste. A long Ayer ranch room reads even longer.

Short boards laid in a right angle zigzag, each piece cut to fit. True to the era of a Main Street Victorian parlor.

Board ends mitered so every row meets in a point, a clean modern pattern for the open kitchens in newer Devens homes.

Diagonal rows pull the eye across the room and make a small cottage kitchen near Long Pond feel wider.

Parquet squares with alternating grain, a traditional look for a sunroom overlooking Nonacoicus Brook.

Basket weave pairs short strips that switch direction every square, often bordered, a detail for an Ayer Victorian study.

Yes. Carpet, pad and tack strips come out for about $1.00/Sq Ft, loose subfloor boards get screwed down and the oak is nailed over sound plywood.
A few days in the rooms where it will be installed. We meter the boards and the subfloor before nailing so the floor does not gap in winter or cup in summer.
Engineered hardwood. It floats on underlayment with glue in the joints for $2.00/Sq Ft, and nothing is drilled into the concrete.
The next day from our Natick warehouse at 9 Cochituate St. Booking the estimate online takes $250 off the job.
Yes. The estimate is free and the estimator sets oak, maple and engineered samples on your floor under your own windows.
The crew collects for labor the morning they arrive and the wood is paid as the boxes come off the truck. Booking a date costs nothing.
Twelve months on our labor and the manufacturer warranty on the wood. If a row lifts, call 508-306-4190 and the same licensed, insured crew returns.
