Samples on Your Own Wood
Three or four candidate colors go down on bare wood in one corner of the room. You get to see each floor stain color by daylight and lamplight before anything else.

Swirl marks from a sander show through stain like a spotlight, so our last pass uses fine grit, followed by two rounds of vacuuming before color goes on.
Stain gets applied with a pad, and any surplus is lifted away within minutes. That keeps the tone even from the middle of the room right up to the trim.
Staining is done only by our own people, NWFA trained and fully licensed and insured. For one year afterward, the labor stays under our guarantee.

Staining runs $2.00/Sq Ft. If your floor is due for sanding and refinishing anyway, that is $2.50/Sq Ft, and stain comes included in the refinishing price.
We brush three or four real shades onto a bare corner of your floor. Look at them over a morning and an evening, then pick whichever feels right.

Yes, after sanding down to raw wood. Very dark old stain may take an extra sanding pass before every trace of color is gone.
Two culprits: patchy sanding, or extra stain left to puddle on top. Fine grit sanding, a double vacuum and wiping surplus right away keep color uniform.
Color has to dry before we seal it, and then the sealer itself needs hours of its own. Your project manager gives you exact times for your house.
Staining and refinishing are paid in two parts: 50% on the first day we work, 50% after that final clear layer is spread.
We do. Licensed and insured people from our own crew apply every stain, and their work carries a twelve month guarantee. If the color looks wrong, we return.
