During your free visit, a tech walks the room, meters the oak for moisture and checks the joists from the cellar stairs, so the fix outlasts the next spring thaw.
Springy spots get screwed down to the joists, and the gaps that open after months of dry woodstove heat get packed, so toast crumbs and road grit stop collecting.
Our own technicians do each repair. Every one is NWFA trained, and we hold a license plus insurance. Their patch work is backed by Brazil Floors for twelve months.

Every repair gets priced after we have seen it, because one cracked strip in a hallway and a frozen pipe that soaked an entire kitchen are very different jobs. The estimate visit is free.
Usually. We choose new strips in your species and width with the grain running the same way, then keep testing stain on scraps until it blends. Sanding the whole room afterward evens everything out.
Woodstove and furnace heat pull moisture from the air, so oak shrinks. Many gaps close up again by July, and any that do not get a flexible filler.
Not always. First we track down where the water came from, then let the oak dry out. Strips that settle flat can stay, and those that remain humped are replaced with matching wood.
Light surface marks usually come out with the sander. Dark urine spots soak deep into oak fibers, so we pull those strips, fit fresh ones in their place and stain them until they disappear.
Yes. Fixing damaged strips first lets sanding even out new wood and old. If you want the full room refinished afterward, that costs $2.50/Sq Ft with stain included.
The price is set once we have seen what happened. Jobs that include sanding are paid in two halves, when we begin and when we wrap up, and furniture moving is $250.
Yes. Every patch our licensed, insured technicians make stays covered a full twelve months. Should one of our strips ever work loose, we drive back to Clarksburg and refasten it free.
