Dustless Floor Refinishing
Our drum sanders and edgers pull dust straight into sealed bags, so you can still cook and sleep at home. Before any finish goes on, the floor is vacuumed and tacked by hand.

Most Whately first floors take three or four days. The crew lead gives you a written timeline on day one: when to stay off, when the dog can return, when furniture goes back.
Loose strips, cracks and dark spots near the woodstove get fixed before sanding starts, so the machines level each patch along with the floor around it.
Our sanding and finishing labor is guaranteed twelve months. Half the payment is due as the machines start humming, and the remainder after the last room is done.

Medium brown tones disguise barn grit and dog hair in busy mudrooms in East Whately.

Soft greige balances the orange that red oak drifts toward over the years in capes along Haydenville Road.

Warm reddish brown suits the historic homes clustered near the First Congregational Church.

Deep walnut that lets the grain show through gives a farmhouse dining room a formal feel.

Espresso looks bold and modern in a renovated home near the Town Hall, though it does show dust.

Yes. Drum sanders follow the floor, so gentle dips stay. Very uneven areas get extra passes, and loose strips are fastened first so the surface comes out smooth.
Light ash stains and scuffs usually sand away. Deep burns from hot embers char the wood through, and we cut those strips out and fit new oak before refinishing.
Yes. Softwood needs a lighter touch on the sander and takes stain differently, so we test colors on each floor before committing.
Light ones often come out. Dark, deep spots mean urine went well below the surface, and only fresh oak will fix those, fitted in ahead of the refinish.
Yes, for a flat $250 per job. Give us a heads up about a piano, a big hutch or anything unusually heavy, so we bring enough hands and dollies.
Water based dries clear and keeps oak pale, with very little odor. Oil based adds a warm amber glow, though it needs more drying time. We'll put both side by side on your floor.
