Dustless Floor Refinishing
Our drum sanders pull dust straight into attached vacuums where the abrasive meets the oak. Before any finish can is opened, we wipe down sills, trim and walls.

Expect several days between the opening sanding pass and the final poly. A written plan tells you when stocking feet may cross the room and when furniture returns.
Cracked strips, black pet rings and popped nails are handled before any sanding starts, so each repair melts into the floor. These fixes are priced at your free estimate.
Twelve months of labor coverage back every refinish. Half the price is paid when sanding gets underway, the other half after our crew leader walks the floors beside you.

Clear poly with no stain keeps oak warm and golden where big windows face Mount Hope Bay.

Medium brown forgives dust and the playground sand children carry home from Kennedy Park.

Neutral shades tame the orange cast that red oak gains over the decades, and they sit nicely next to greige paint.

A red brown shade lends coziness to a supper room overlooking the Taunton River in January.

Dark walnut lends a front room depth while still letting the oak grain show through.

Ebony is dramatic in large open rooms, but lint and pet hair stand out against it far sooner than on lighter colors.

Our refinishing rate of $2.50/Sq Ft already counts the stain color and poly. Moving furniture costs one flat $250 if you need it, and any patching is quoted during the free visit.
Usually. At a floor register or threshold we can judge the thickness of the oak, and we sand only as hard as that wood allows, which leaves plenty of life for the next generation.
Hardly. Vacuums on each sander catch dust at the source, plastic covers open doorways, and we wipe trim and sills before any finish is brushed on.
Yes. When the old finish is gone, sample colors go down for you to judge in your own light. Stain alone is $2.00/Sq Ft, but color is already included when we refinish.
Surface scratches sand out easily. Deep black urine spots usually do not, so we lift those strips and fit new oak into the opening before the sanding starts.
No. One half is collected as the drum sanders come through your door, and the rest is settled once the final layer has hardened and you have toured each room with us.
That depends on the finish product and on how humid the house is. We write down two dates, a walking date and a heavy furniture date, and put felt pads under every leg.
Only Brazil Floors employees trained to NWFA standards, never subcontractors. We are licensed and carry insurance, and if refinishing labor falls short within a year, the crew comes back to correct it.
