Our first job is learning what you have: maple or oak, narrow strips or wide, a straight grain or a wavy one. Then tints go onto spare new wood until one vanishes.

Every estimate happens in person and costs nothing. A tech studies the damage, takes a moisture reading and looks below before writing out one price.
Rattling strips get fastened down, and cracks that widen in dry January air are filled before grit and crumbs can pack in.
Licensed, insured Brazil Floors employees trained to NWFA standards make every repair, and each carries a twelve month labor guarantee plus the wood maker's warranty.

Usually. Spare pieces of new wood are tinted on site, and we compare them against your floor by daylight and again under the ceiling light, adjusting until color and grain read as one.
Repairs are quoted only after we see them, because a small spot can hide rot or a loose subfloor while a larger one may be simple. That look costs nothing, and you get one written number before any work.
Water is almost always the cause, from snow on boots, an ice dam or a leaking line. Once it dries we either sand the floor flat or pull out any strips that never settle back down.
New oak darkens a little as it ages, so the patch is tinted a shade toward the color your floor is drifting to. After a few weeks most people forget which part was repaired.
Yes. We drive long trim screws from the top through the strip and into a joist, then countersink them and hide each head under tinted wax. No strips need to come up, and the creak is gone.
Rarely. Urine soaks deep and blackens the wood all the way through, so sanding only exposes more stain. We remove those strips, set in new oak and refinish that section.
Yes. For twelve months after a repair, if new strips rise or a squeak comes back, a licensed, insured tech returns and corrects it free.
Small patches and squeak fixes are often done in one visit. Larger sections needing stain and finish could stretch over two or three days, and the tech lays out the schedule during the free visit.
