The estimator carries real red and white oak sample treads. Hold one by the upstairs hall and we'll work out a stain that bridges both floors.
Wobbly stringers get shimmed and squeaky steps screwed tight before anything new arrives. Each tread is then traced to its own opening and set in adhesive.
Our stair carpenters are NWFA certified and carry licensing and insurance. We guarantee that workmanship one year, and a tread of ours that loosens gets reset free.

We charge $60 for every hardwood tread, fully installed. A center hall colonial usually has thirteen or fourteen steps, and the estimator counts yours at the free visit.

Loose fasteners and wood rubbing against wood. Ahead of setting the first new tread, we tighten the framing underneath, which almost always silences the noise.
Yes. A test tread gets stained right beside your hallway floor, and once you approve it in your own light, we stain the full flight to match.
Yes. For twelve months your stair labor is protected. If a tread rocks or a nosing pulls loose because of our installation, one of our carpenters returns and resets it.
