Our sanders are connected to vacuum systems, so most dust is caught. We also seal off doorways with plastic to keep the rest of the house clean.
Is it safe for our family to stay home while you sand?
Most families do. The night the final finish goes on, some prefer to stay with friends so nobody needs to cross the fresh floor.
Do you handle the furniture?
We can. Emptying the rooms beforehand and returning everything afterward is $250 for the job. Pianos and very heavy pieces should be mentioned ahead of time.
How do I know if the floor can be sanded again?
We check the thickness at a heat register or threshold. Most three quarter inch solid oak has plenty of wood left for several more sandings.
Our new finish is bubbling. What happens now?
Since refinishing labor is guaranteed twelve months, you're covered. We'll come out, figure out what caused it and repair the affected area without charging you anything.
