Tread samples come to your Easton home in the estimator's truck. Set one on the hall floor at the foot of the stairs and the match jumps out.
Before a new tread touches the stair, every loose step is screwed down. Our installer then scribes each tread to the stringers, glues it and fastens it.
The crew building your staircase is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and the labor is backed for a year. A squeak or a shifted tread gets fixed on us.

Each step is $60, with the hardwood tread, riser, bull nose, a stain to match your floor and labor all included. A standard straight run has no extras.
Yes, we strip the carpet, pad, tack strips and staples before the new treads go in. The removal cost is set at the free estimate.
If they are solid wood and not cracked or chewed, we sand and refinish them for $50 a step. Soft or split treads are better replaced.
Yes, oak risers stained to match are an option, as are painted white risers. We bring photos of both to the estimate.
We screw the stringers and framing tight before installing, so the squeaks leave with the carpet. Any that come back are fixed under warranty.
Open sided treads get return ends, a wrapped edge that finishes the exposed side cleanly. The estimator prices the return ends alongside the standard treads.
Most Easton staircases are scheduled within a week and done in a day. The finish needs overnight before heavy traffic.
Brazil Floors backs the labor for one year, and the wood itself carries the manufacturer warranty.
