Sample treads ride in the estimator's truck. Hold one up to the floor at the bottom of the stairs and the right wood is clear.
Loose steps are fastened first, and then each tread is scribed to the wall, glued and screwed down.
Licensed, insured, NWFA certified employees build every flight, and our labor is warrantied for one year.

A new step is $60, including tread, riser, nosing, stain and labor. Laminate stairs are $50 per step.
Carpet, pad and tack strips all come off the treads. You get the removal price in writing at the free estimate.
If the wood is solid, refinishing is $50 per step. Cracked or thin treads are better replaced.
Yes, oak risers take the same stain, or they can be painted white. Stained risers are part of the $60 step.
Squeaks come from loose boards, so each step is glued and screwed as we rebuild it. Most noise disappears.
Return ends carry the tread around the open edge. It looks complete from the hall.
