Walkthrough Before We Start
Hill-country houses move with the freeze and thaw, so floors can cup, gap or slope across a room. Our crew lead tests the subfloor, every threshold and your stairs before ordering a single board.

Each person who works in your Windsor house is a Brazil Floors employee, with a license, insurance and NWFA certification. We never send subcontractors.
First comes the tape measure in each room, and then cartons, trim and reducers are staged near the door so the day runs without a pause.
The labor is guaranteed for a full year, and the wood arrives with its manufacturer's warranty, so the install and the boards both have coverage.

Boards laid parallel to the longest wall waste the least and make a narrow farmhouse room read longer.

Short boards fitted at right angles in a zigzag, each one scribed in place. A good match for the dining room of an old homestead.

Boards cut at 45 degrees come together in a sharp V, which dresses up a kitchen opened to the living area.

Boards run on the diagonal send the eye across the room and make a compact den feel wider.

Oak squares with alternating grain, laid parquet style, a traditional detail for a sunroom that faces the hills.

Short pieces woven in an over-under pattern, often framed by a dark border, a classic look in a formal front room.

Installing by nail-down comes to $2.25/Sq Ft for labor, with the nails and underlayment built in. If you buy the wood from us, the package is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished, and material through Brazil Floors can be up to 30% off.
Usually it can. At the free estimate the crew lead checks how far the floor drops, then levels or re-fastens the subfloor before any oak is nailed down.
Engineered hardwood, floated with glued edges, since nails cannot go into concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and either one suits a mudroom where snowy boots land.
Our Natick warehouse delivers the next day after you choose. The free in-home estimate comes before that, and we bring samples to the house.
Every hardwood tread is $60, including the riser, nosing, stain and labor. Stairs in sound condition can be refinished at $50 per step.
Labor is paid on the day the crew arrives and starts, and material is paid when the boxes are delivered. Sanding jobs are paid half at the beginning and half with the last coat.
One year covers our labor, and the manufacturer warrants the boards. The installers are our own payroll staff, licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
