Old New England houses settle unevenly, so our lead installer runs a straightedge over the subfloor, checks each doorway and tests the stairs before ordering a single carton.

No subcontractors set foot in your house. Our installers are Brazil Floors employees, with licenses, insurance and NWFA certification behind them.
When the crew arrives, boxes are counted, thresholds are set out and the room is laid out on paper, so the nailer can work row after row without delays.
Workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months, and the mill adds its own warranty on the oak or maple you choose.

Rows that run with the longest wall use the least wood and make a narrow room feel longer.

Short boards set in a zigzag give an older dining room a handmade look.

Mitered at 45 degrees, the boards meet in a point and lead the eye across a larger room.

Laid on a diagonal, the planks stretch a small mudroom or kitchen toward its far corner.

Oak blocks with the grain alternating form a parquet pattern for a den or a sunporch.

Short strips woven in an over-and-under pattern, framed by a dark border, suit a formal front hall.

Nail down labor is billed at $2.25/Sq Ft, covering the nails and underlayment. A package with our wood comes to $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. The carpet and padding come out for about $1.00/Sq Ft, loose subfloor is screwed down and the oak is nailed to a sound base.
Engineered planks that float over foam, because nothing penetrates the slab. The labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Both are on the menu. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, each a smart choice for damp or busy rooms.
Boxes ship from Natick on the next day after you order. We confirm the install date with you at the estimate.
A new tread costs $60 with riser, nosing and stain, labor too. Existing sound stairs can be refinished at $50 per step.
Labor is paid when the crew shows up, and material when the boxes are delivered. A sanding job is split fifty-fifty between start and final coat.
There is a one year warranty on our labor plus the manufacturer warranty on the flooring. Our own licensed, insured, NWFA certified staff do the installing.
