Walkthrough Before We Start
Salt air and old framing mean floors in this town rarely sit dead flat. Before a single board goes down, the lead checks moisture, subfloor and doorway heights.

Everyone who enters your house works for Brazil Floors, never a subcontractor, and carries a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
On day one the crew takes room dimensions and stacks the boxes, trim and transitions where they will be used, so nobody hunts for pieces mid-job.
We stand behind the labor for one year. The wood itself comes with the mill's warranty, so both the craftsmanship and the material are covered.

Boards run lengthwise down the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and stretches a narrow Byfield hallway.

Short pieces set square in a zigzag and fitted one by one, a look that suits a dining room near the Samuel Chase House.

Mitered ends meet in a crisp V along each row, a good answer for an open kitchen and family room.

Planks angled across the room pull the eye along the diagonal, so a small cottage kitchen near Plum Island looks wider.

Square oak blocks alternate their grain for a parquet floor, a classic option for a sunporch.

Short strips woven over and under, often framed by a darker border, sit well in the older homes along Central Street.

For nail-down work the labor rate is $2.25/Sq Ft, with the nails and the underlayment folded in. With unfinished wood from us the package is $5.50/Sq Ft, or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
The carpet and pad come out first, and the tack strips with them. We then repair any weak spots in the subfloor and fasten hardwood to the sound base underneath.
Engineered hardwood, floated over padding with glued seams so nothing is nailed into the concrete. Labor for floating is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, which suits a damp mudroom or a basement near the marsh.
Orders ship from our Natick warehouse and arrive the next day. Your start date is set once the delivery day is known.
Nail-and-glue is $2.50/Sq Ft plus the adhesive. It makes a firmer floor underfoot and is often used for wider planks.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives to begin, and the material is paid when the boxes are delivered. Sanding jobs split evenly between the start and the final coat.
Labor is guaranteed for one year, and the wood has the manufacturer warranty. Our own licensed, insured crew does the work, with no subcontractors.
