Walkthrough Before We Start
Salt air and sea fog are hard on island framing, so our lead installer checks subfloor, door heights and stairs at your New Shoreham home first.
Salt air and sea fog are hard on island framing, so our lead installer checks subfloor, door heights and stairs at your New Shoreham home first.
Every person we send out to the island is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so your house and the people in it are protected the entire time.
For island work we check each room twice and tally every box, molding and reducer ahead of the trip, so nothing gets left on the mainland.
Our labor is backed with a one year warranty, while the planks hold their manufacturer warranty, so your floor is covered on both counts.

Wide oak boards stretched the length of the room fit the easy charm of a summer cottage off Corn Neck Road.

The herringbone pattern brings Victorian charm to the front room of a home near Old Harbor in town.

A chevron floor points toward the water in crisp V lines, a bold look for a modern home by the Great Salt Pond.

Planks laid on a 45 degree angle help a little bedroom feel wider, a smart fix for cottages by Crescent Beach.

A checkerboard of oak squares livens up a sunroom close to Mohegan Bluffs with a crisp, seaside look.

A basket weave pairs little boards at right angles, a cozy look for a study in a house up by North Light on the island.

Our labor to nail it down sits at a flat rate of $2.25/Sq Ft, with underlayment and nails. Bundled with our wood it is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00 prefinished.
We pick the dates with you when you book, measure each room carefully, and pack all the material in one trip, so the crew shows up ready to work.
Engineered hardwood. It floats over a foam pad and gets glue at every seam, so the concrete never gets a nail. The labor runs $2.00/Sq Ft flat.
It does, if the house keeps a steady humidity. Engineered planks shift less than solid oak in damp months, so they are a smart pick for island homes.
Next day. We ship from our warehouse in Coventry on any day, Sunday to Sunday, and the island date is set with you at booking, so it all lines up.
Each new oak tread runs $60. Weathered wood steps can be refinished for $50 per step, then stained to match the hall upstairs in the house.
Labor is paid once the crew lands, and material is paid as soon as the boxes arrive. Sanding is split, 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
One year of labor warranty, and the manufacturer warranty on the flooring. Every installer we send is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, on the island and off.
