Walkthrough Before We Start
Before any work starts, the lead installer walks your Charlestown house looking at the subfloor, the doors and each threshold.
Before any work starts, the lead installer walks your Charlestown house looking at the subfloor, the doors and each threshold.
Each installer we bring out is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so the house and the family staying in it are fully covered.
On arrival, the crew measures each room again, and every box, molding and reducer gets counted so the install keeps going.
Every install is covered by one year of warranty, and the flooring keeps its own warranty from the maker, so both are covered.

Boards run straight from the door to the far wall, an easy, relaxed look for homes close to East Beach.

Short boards form a tight zigzag, giving a little character to a living room that looks out over the salt ponds.

Each angled board meets the next in a V, a modern look for the newer homes near Burlingame State Park.

Boards laid at 45 degrees cross the floor on an angle, making a small cottage near Watchaug Pond look wider.

Little oak squares change direction just like a checkerboard, a playful look for a dining room near Charlestown Beach.

Strips are paired and set at right angles, a woven look that warms up the den of a home near Ninigret Park.

We nail it down at a flat rate of $2.25/Sq Ft, and nails and underlayment are in that price. If we supply the wood, it is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00 prefinished.
It can be. Near the water we usually go with engineered planks, which handle humid air better than solid, and we always test for moisture first.
Usually, yes. The wood ships next day from our warehouse in Coventry, we install Sunday to Sunday, and prefinished planks are ready the same day.
It can, if it floats. Engineered planks rest on underlayment with each joint glued, and nothing gets nailed into the slab, for $2.00/Sq Ft in labor.
Yes. Installing LVP or laminate costs $2.00/Sq Ft in labor, and the LVP package with material comes to $5.00/Sq Ft, a great pick for summer rentals.
New oak treads cost $60 each. If the steps are wood and only look tired, we refinish them for $50 per step, sanded and sealed to match the floor.
You pay for labor when the crew pulls up, and the material when the truck drops it off. Sanding gets split in two, 50% at the start, 50% at the last coat.
Our own installers, and each one is licensed, insured and NWFA certified. Labor is under warranty for one year, and the manufacturer covers the boards.
