Walkthrough Before We Start
Mill-era houses along the Blackstone Valley settle in odd ways, and before laying a board our lead checks the subfloor, the thresholds and the stairs.

The installers in your home are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and that coverage stays with you until the work is signed off.
Our first visit is all tape measure. After that, cartons, trim and reducers get lined up by the entry so the crew never waits on a missing piece.
Our labor is warrantied for a full year, and the boards keep the manufacturer's separate warranty, so the workmanship and the wood both have a guarantee.

Boards laid along the long wall produce the least waste and go quickest. In a narrow Millbury hallway the room appears longer.

Short boards set in a zigzag, each one cut and fit by hand. A natural fit for a formal dining room in a Victorian.

Rows mitered at 45 degrees join in a V down the middle. Fits the open layouts of newer houses off Route 146.

Planks run on a diagonal draw the eye across the room and make a modest kitchen seem bigger.

Oak squares with the grain turned in alternating directions, parquet style. Suited to a sunroom.

Short oak pieces woven over and under, framed by a border in a darker tone. Classic for an old-mill-town front room.

Our nail-down labor is a flat $2.25/Sq Ft, nails and underlayment in the price. For wood from us, the installed total is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00 prefinished.
Yes. Carpet, pad and tack strips come out, any soft subfloor is secured, and oak goes down over sound plywood. Removal of old flooring is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered hardwood, floated with glued joints so nothing is nailed into the concrete. The labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate is $1.99, with waterproof vinyl a good match for lower levels near the brook.
The day after you order. It leaves the Natick warehouse and reaches the house next day.
A new tread is $60 with riser, nosing and stain counted. Sound old stairs can be refinished at $50 a step.
Labor is paid when the crew gets to work and material when the boxes arrive. Sanding is split, half at the start and half at the last coat.
Our labor is covered for a year and the flooring has the maker's warranty. Everyone on the crew has a license, coverage and an NWFA certificate.
