Walkthrough Before We Start
Antique homes in this part of Worcester County have floors that have shifted over generations, so before ordering wood our lead installer taps the subfloor and checks the level at each threshold.

Nobody on your floor is a stranger hired for the week. Our employees are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and we answer for each of them.
On day one we remeasure, bring cartons into their rooms and set reducers beside the doors, which keeps the nailer working without a pause to fetch parts.
A full year of warranty covers our labor, and the manufacturer separately warrants the boards, so the installation and the lumber each have protection.

Boards run along the longest wall, wasting the least wood and lengthening a modest farmhouse sitting room.

Short planks set at angles form a zigzag that gives an entry hall in an older house a crafted, period feel.

Planks cut at mirrored angles meet in a sharp point, a smart match for open plans in newer subdivisions.

Rows laid on the diagonal carry the eye to the far wall and make a snug den seem broader.

Oak squares turned with alternating grain, parquet style, give a sunroom a vintage finish.

Short strips woven over and under, often with a border, bring detail to a dining room in a house a stroll from the Edward Putnam House.

Our nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, nails and underlayment inside the price. Wood plus labor together is $5.50/Sq Ft with unfinished boards or $6.00/Sq Ft with prefinished.
Often yes. We locate the low areas at the visit and fix or build up the subfloor before the first plank, so the finished floor lies flat.
Engineered planks, floated and glued at the seams so the slab is never nailed. The labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Both, yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate is $1.99/Sq Ft, each handy for a basement or a kid's room.
Boxes leave our Natick warehouse and arrive the next day. At the free estimate we settle on the start date together.
Each new hardwood tread costs $60, with riser, nosing and stain counted. Treads that are already oak can be redone for $50 per step.
Labor is paid as the crew arrives, material as the boxes come in, and sanding in two equal parts, at the start and at the final coat.
Our labor is covered for one year and the mill covers the boards. Whoever comes to your door is licensed, insured and certified by the NWFA.
