Walkthrough Before We Start
Sea air and older framing can shift a floor, so before day one the head installer studies the subfloor, door heights and stairs in your Jamestown home.

Each person we bring across the bridge is licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so your house and family stay covered every day we work.
Island jobs begin with a careful check of every room and a count of boxes, trim and reducers, since a run back for parts means another bridge trip.
Our labor is backed for one year, while your boards keep the manufacturer warranty, so the job and the product are both covered.

Long oak planks laid in straight lines feel easy and coastal in the cottages close to Mackerel Cove in summer.

Short planks in a herringbone weave give classic style to the dining room of an old shingle house on Shoreby Hill.

A chevron layout runs to the windows in sharp V lines, a striking look for a newer home by Beavertail.

Boards set on a 45 degree angle make a small cottage room feel wider, a good fix for houses near the village.

Squares of oak laid like a checkerboard bring a sunroom looking out on the bay a sharp, nautical look.

Pairs of strips set at right angles make a basket weave, a warm detail for a den in a house on the North End.

Our nail down install labor comes to a flat rate of $2.25/Sq Ft, underlayment and nails included. Paired with our wood, it is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00 prefinished.
Not at all. Island homes pay the same flat rate per Sq Ft as the mainland. The crew comes across set to work, and the price on your estimate stays put.
Yes, engineered wood can. The planks float on a pad with glue in each seam, and the concrete takes no nails. Labor for that is $2.00/Sq Ft flat.
Yes, with care. Solid oak does fine by the water when your home holds an even humidity, and engineered boards shift less from season to season.
The next day. Orders leave our warehouse in Coventry and come over the bridge any day, Sunday to Sunday, so your job can start without delay.
Each new oak tread costs $60. Steps that are wood under the wear get a refinish for $50 per step, sanded down and stained to match the hallway.
Labor is paid once the crew gets to the island, and material when the truck unloads. A sanding job is split, 50% at the start and 50% at the final coat.
One year of warranty protects our labor, and there is the manufacturer warranty on the flooring. Each installer we send is licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
