Walkthrough Before We Start

Postwar capes and split-levels often hide uneven plywood under old carpet. Our crew lead checks the subfloor, every threshold and the stairs before a single carton is ordered.

Licensed, Insured Installation

Every person laying your floor is a Brazil Floors employee. They are licensed and insured, and they carry NWFA certification.

Remeasure and Material Count

The first morning, installers line up boxes, trim and reducers in the room, which lets the work move at a steady clip with no searching around.

One Year Install Warranty

We guarantee our labor for twelve months, while the manufacturer warrants the boards, so the work and the lumber are both under cover.

/ FLOOR PATTERN DESIGNS

Hardwood Floor Patterns

Burlington jobs include straight lay, herringbone, chevron, diagonal and parquet, with borders and inlays priced at the visit. Straight boards fit most ranches, and herringbone shows up in updated kitchens.

Straight Lay Hardwood

Boards that follow the longest wall waste the least wood and stretch a short hallway.

Chevron Hardwood

With rows mitered at 45 degrees, each joint forms a neat V, a look that suits a renovated kitchen.

Diagonal Hardwood

Planks set at an angle carry the eye diagonally, so a modest family room looks wider.

Checkerboard Parquet

Oak squares with the grain alternating give a sunroom a classic parquet look.

Basket Weave Parquet

Short strips woven over and under, usually bordered in a darker wood, fit the colonial homesteads near Vine Brook.

/ OUR SERVICES

Hardwood Floor Installers in Burlington

Our own crew comes from the Natick warehouse at 9 Cochituate St and sees each project through to the last trim piece. In this house they rolled out underlayment, nailed the oak and squared each doorway, which is the routine in capes near Great Meadow and in ranches off Route 128.

How much does hardwood installation cost in Burlington?

Nail-down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, with nails and underlayment included. Boards from us make it $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.

Can you replace wall-to-wall carpet in a 1960s ranch?

Yes. We remove the carpet, pad and tack strips, repair any weak plywood and nail oak onto a firm base. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft.

Which floor works over a basement slab?

Engineered hardwood, floated on padding with glued joints. Nothing goes into the concrete, and labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.

Do you also lay vinyl plank or laminate?

Yes. Vinyl plank is $2.00/Sq Ft for labor and laminate is $1.99/Sq Ft, both useful for playrooms and basements.

How long until the material shows up?

The next day, loaded at our Natick warehouse. The crew does not wait on a long shipping window.

Can you rebuild the staircase too?

Yes. A new hardwood tread is $60, riser, nosing and stain included. Oak steps in good shape can be refinished for $50 each.

When is payment due?

Labor is paid when the crew arrives and starts. Material is paid when the boxes are delivered, with no deposit to hold a slot.

What does your warranty cover?

A one-year warranty on our labor, plus the manufacturer's on the wood. Our installers hold licenses, insurance and NWFA credentials.
