Tree species, strip size and grain direction get pinned down first. Then we tint each replacement piece by hand until it disappears among the older wood.

Our free visit starts with questions. A moisture meter, a look underneath from the cellar, and a hunt for the cause come before anyone suggests a fix.
Loose strips that click under boots get fastened back down. Gaps that open every January get filled, so grit and pine needles stop collecting in them.
Your repair stays with our own staff, NWFA trained, licensed and insured. If a patch we made lets go during the first year, a crew returns to redo it.

Repair has no set rate, since one split strip and a soaked hallway are very different jobs. We come out free, see the damage and then give you a written price.
Usually. Wood type, strip size and grain pattern get matched up front, then try stain on new pieces until they blend in. Very old or unusual floors sometimes look best with a full room refinish.
Not always. Small patches often blend in by themselves. Bigger repairs or obvious color gaps look better with the whole room refinished, and we will tell you honestly which applies.
That is cupping. Moisture got under the wood faster than the top, usually from a leak, a damp cellar or melting snow at a door. We find where it comes from before replacing anything.
Light spots sometimes sand out. Dark, nearly black ones run deep, so new wood goes in and gets tinted until neighboring strips hide it.
Often quite fast. Estimators usually visit within forty eight hours of your call, and simple fixes may start the morning after. Major water damage may need drying time first.
A written figure follows our free look. If repair is combined with sanding, payment is 50% that first day and 50% at completion, with no hidden fees.
Twelve months of labor protection backs each repair. Should a strip we replaced work loose or a crack we filled reopen through our fault, it gets redone free.
