We multiply your square footage by $2.50 for sanding and finish. Color adds $2.00/Sq Ft, and our crew relocates the furniture for $250 flat. You see the full figure in writing.
Can a softwood cottage floor be refinished?
Often, yes. Softer woods dent easily and take stain unevenly, so we sand gently and test a color in a closet first. Some lake cottages look best with clear finish only.
Do the gaps between my strips get filled?
Hairline gaps that appear in January usually close by July. Wider cracks that never close get a flexible wood filler before the finish goes down.
Does humid lake weather slow the drying?
A muggy August day can stretch drying time a bit. We run fans and watch the finish, and we will tell you if the schedule needs an extra day.
Are deep pet stains fixable?
Faint marks often fade away with sanding. Black stains run through the wood, so we swap those strips for matching oak before the room is sanded.
Do we need a hotel during the job?
Usually not. Most families live in the other rooms. If the kitchen is being refinished, a cooler and some takeout get you through a couple of days.
How do refinishing payments work?
We split it evenly. The first half is paid when the drum sanders start, and the second once the finish has cured and you are satisfied.
What if the finish peels later?
Peeling caused by our workmanship within twelve months is repaired free. The finish manufacturer also offers its own product warranty.
