Treads, Risers and Nosing

The tread options are red oak, white oak, hickory and maple, all one inch thick with a bull nose and a matching riser.

Tread Samples at Home

Samples come in the estimator truck, so you can hold them against the hall floor and pick the wood in your own light.

Quiet, Solid Steps

Any wobbly step gets screwed tight as the first job. The installer then scribes each tread, glues it and fastens it for a silent stair.

One Year Stair Warranty

Our installers are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and stair labor carries a year of warranty.

Stair Installers in West Bridgewater

We rebuild stairs in capes near the Town Park, colonials by the Keith House and ranches off Route 106. Carpet comes up, loose steps are anchored and oak treads and risers go in, with stain applied on site.

/ RED OAK, WHITE OAK, HICKORY AND MAPLE

Wood Stair Treads and Risers

A narrow cape stair and a wide colonial flight call for different wood and trim, and we help you pick.

Red Oak Treads

Red oak with warm stain suits older floors in the town.

White Oak Treads

White oak brings a pale clean grain to a hall with morning sun.

Hickory and Maple Treads

Hickory is rugged for busy homes, and maple brightens a dark stair.

Painted or Wood Risers

Owners near the Ames Shovel Works choose painted white risers or stained oak ones.

Open Stairs and Return Ends

An open staircase gets return ends so the tread wraps around the side.

Landing Treads

The top tread meets the upstairs floor with no step in between.
