Sample treads come out of the estimator's truck. Lay one on the floor at your bottom step and the right species is obvious within a minute.
The first job on any Boxborough staircase is driving screws into steps that wobble. Only then does each tread get scribed to the stringers, glued and fastened for good.
Every Boxborough staircase is built by a licensed, insured, NWFA certified crew on our payroll, and the labor carries a full one year warranty.

Almost always. We screw the wobbly steps tight before anything else, then scribe, glue and fasten every new tread so it has nowhere left to move.
We fit a return to the exposed end of each tread, so the rounded nose carries on around the side and nothing looks raw from the hall.
Prefinished treads come by special order and take a few weeks. Unfinished treads can often go in the following day, with the whole job wrapped up in two.
Yes. A year of warranty on the stair labor, and the installers hold a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
