Walkthrough Before We Start
Old Winchendon houses settle, and generations of New England winters leave crowned boards and sloped rooms. Our crew lead checks the subfloor, thresholds and stair landings before a single plank goes down.

Everyone who walks into your house works for Brazil Floors, and each installer is licensed, insured and NWFA certified. No subcontractors, ever.
The crew measures each room, then stages cartons, trim and transitions by the door so the install moves along without a hunt for parts.
You get one year of warranty on our labor and the maker's warranty on the boards themselves, so both the work and the wood are covered.

Boards run with the longest wall, the lowest-waste layout. It stretches a narrow farmhouse parlor.

Short boards set at right angles in a zigzag, each piece cut to fit. A period choice for a dining room in an older Spring Village house.

Boards mitered at 45 degrees so the rows meet in a crisp V down the middle. It suits wide kitchens in newer houses toward Winchendon Springs.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye to the far corner, which opens up a small Toy Town kitchen.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, parquet style. A traditional look for a sunroom in an older home near Otter River State Forest.

Short oak pieces woven over and under with a darker border, a classic in the farmhouses scattered along the Millers River.

Winchendon nail-down work is billed at $2.25/Sq Ft of labor, with the nails and underlayment folded in. If we also supply the wood, the package is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished, with up to 30% off material bought through us.
The carpet is not a base, so it comes out first, at about $1.00/Sq Ft for tear-out. Then we check the subfloor and nail the oak to sound plywood.
Engineered hardwood, floated with glued joints so nothing is nailed into concrete. Labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate is $1.99/Sq Ft, which makes either one a sensible pick for a mudroom or a damp lower level.
Delivery is next day from our Natick warehouse once you have picked your wood. The free in-home estimate comes first, and we bring samples to your house.
A new hardwood tread is $60 each, with riser, nosing, stain and labor all in. Existing stairs in sound shape can be refinished at $50 per step.
You settle labor the day the crew starts and pay for material as the boxes come off the truck. Any sanding is split in half, one half at the first pass and one at the last coat.
Our labor carries a one-year warranty, and the boards come with the manufacturer's warranty. Installers are Brazil Floors employees, and every one holds a license, insurance and NWFA certification.
