Walkthrough Before We Start
Our lead installer walks the house first, pressing on the subfloor for soft spots and checking every threshold, because old Worcester County framing rarely sits dead level.

There are no subcontractors here. The installers are our own employees, licensed, insured and NWFA certified, so you deal with one company from estimate to final sweep.
Furniture moving is a flat $250, and the crew covers doorways and stair rails before the first cut. Cartons are staged room by room so nobody waits on a missing piece.
We stand behind the labor for one year, and the plank maker adds a materials warranty, so the install and the wood each have someone answering for them.

Boards follow the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and lengthens a narrow room.

Short pieces set at right angles in a stepped line, cut one at a time. A handsome match for an older dining room.

Mitered ends meet in a neat V down the middle of the room, a good look for an open kitchen and family space.

Planks turned 45 degrees to the walls pull the eye across the room and make a small Searles Hill sitting room feel wider.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, in classic parquet style, for a sunroom or entry.

Short oak lengths woven over and under, often framed by a dark border, a traditional touch in older homes near the Congregational Church.

Our nail-down rate is $2.25/Sq Ft of labor, with the fasteners and underlayment folded in. Add the boards from us and the package is $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished oak or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Usually, yes. The estimator checks how far the floor drops, and the crew shims, patches or fastens a new plywood layer so the oak sits flat across the room.
Floating engineered hardwood. It is glued at the joints over underlayment instead of nailed, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft and vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft, which makes vinyl the better call for a damp cellar.
Material ships from our Natick warehouse and reaches the house the following day. Your estimator sets the start date with you.
Each tread is $60, with the riser, nosing, stain and labor counted in. Treads that are still solid can be refinished for $50 a step instead.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and work begins, and the material is paid when the boxes are delivered. On sanding work you pay half when the sanders start and half after the last coat.
Labor has a one year warranty from us, and the boards carry the maker's warranty. Every installer on the team holds a license, carries insurance and has NWFA certification.
