Walkthrough Before We Start
Many Lawrence houses carry decades of carpet over uneven boards. Before ordering a single box, our lead tests the subfloor, checks each doorway height and walks the stairs.

Everyone who sets foot in your home works for Brazil Floors, never a subcontractor. Every installer holds a license, carries insurance and has earned NWFA certification.
On day one the crew stacks cartons, trim and reducers in the rooms they belong to. Nobody hunts for a piece mid-job, and the rows go down at a steady pace.
You get one year on our labor, and the mill backs the boards with its own warranty, so both the craft and the lumber are covered.

Rows follow the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and makes a narrow city room look longer.

Short planks form a zigzag, each piece cut by hand. It brings an old-fashioned feel to a formal dining room.

Each board end is cut at 45 degrees so the seams meet as arrows, a sharp look for an open kitchen and hall.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye toward the far corner, which opens up a small bedroom on Tower Hill.

Square oak blocks with alternating grain give a parquet look that suits a sunny front room.

Short strips woven over and under, often framed by a dark border, a classic for the older brick-era homes of South Lawrence.

Nailing the oak down costs $2.25/Sq Ft in labor, with nails and underlayment inside that rate. Wood plus installation together run $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished and $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. We remove the carpet, pad and tack strips, secure any loose boards and nail the new floor to a sound base. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered hardwood, floated over foam with glued joints so nothing is nailed into the slab. The labor for that method is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and both are common choices for rental-style units and basement rooms.
Material ships next day from our Natick warehouse, and our crew coordinates the installation date with you at the estimate.
One new hardwood step is $60, riser, nosing, stain and labor all counted. Sanding and refinishing a sound step instead is $50.
Labor gets paid the moment the crew shows up, and flooring gets paid as cartons come off the truck. A sanding job is split in half, 50% to begin and 50% at the last coat.
We warranty our labor for one year, and the boards keep their own factory warranty. Your crew is licensed, insured and certified by the NWFA.
