Walkthrough Before We Start
Day one starts with a slow lap of the house. Our lead installer taps the subfloor, checks each doorway and watches for the dips that river valley winters leave in old framing.

The people kneeling on your floor draw a Brazil Floors paycheck, not a subcontractor's. Each one holds a license, insurance and an NWFA certification.
On installation morning the crew measures a second time, stages every carton in its room and lays reducers by the thresholds, so the pace never breaks for a missing piece.
A twelve month warranty protects our labor, and the manufacturer's own warranty protects the boards, which puts a name behind both the work and the wood.

Planks run with the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and gives a narrow room more length.

Short boards set in a zigzag at 90 degrees, each one cut to fit, a period pattern for a Victorian dining room.

Boards mitered at 45 degrees make a neat V where rows meet, a good match for open plan kitchens.

Planks angled across a room carry the eye outward and make a modest kitchen seem larger.

Oak squares turn their grain in alternating directions, parquet style, for a sunroom with river light.

Short oak pieces woven over and under, often framed by a contrasting border, in a parlor with original trim.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft with the nails and underlayment counted in. Adding material brings unfinished hardwood to $5.50/Sq Ft and prefinished to $6.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. The carpet and padding are pulled, tack strips come out, soft subfloor is fastened or replaced, and new oak goes down over sound plywood.
Engineered hardwood, floated on padding with glue in each joint so nothing is nailed into the concrete. The labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
Yes. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate is $1.99/Sq Ft, and vinyl suits cellars near the river best.
Material goes out from the Natick warehouse with next day delivery, so approved boxes reach your door the following day.
Each hardwood tread is $60, riser, nosing, stain and labor included. Sound stairs can instead be refinished at $50 per step.
Pay labor on the morning the crew starts and pay for material as the boxes land at the door. Sanding work divides evenly, half at the beginning and half with the final coat.
One year of labor warranty from us, and the manufacturer's warranty on your flooring. Each person on the crew is licensed and insured, and holds an NWFA certification.
