Walkthrough Before We Start
The lead installer arrives first with a level and a moisture meter, presses along the subfloor for give, measures door heights and sketches the direction of each row.

Brazil Floors employs every person who works in your rooms. They are licensed, insured and NWFA certified, and nothing gets passed to an outside sub.
Install day opens with a second round of measuring. Boxes are counted, thresholds are cut to fit and the first nail goes in only after that.
You get twelve months of labor coverage from us, and the wood itself comes with the mill warranty, so the install and the boards are both protected.

Boards run with the longest wall, which wastes little and lengthens a narrow room.

Short lengths set in a zigzag give a formal dining room a handwoven look.

Planks mitered at 45 degrees form crisp arrows that lead the eye across a wide kitchen.

Set on the diagonal, planks make a compact kitchen seem to spread toward its corners.

Oak blocks with alternating grain bring a classic parquet look to a den.

A woven basket pattern with a dark border suits an entry in an older home off the Old Connecticut Path.

Nail down labor is $2.25/Sq Ft, with nails and underlayment counted in. If you buy the wood through us, the all-in rate is $5.50/Sq Ft for unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft for prefinished.
Yes. Carpet, pad and tack strips come out first, weak spots in the subfloor are secured and the oak is nailed over firm plywood. Tear-out is about $1.00/Sq Ft and is confirmed at the estimate.
Engineered hardwood floated on foam with glue in the joints, so nothing is driven into the concrete. Labor for that is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Labor for LVP is $2.00/Sq Ft, while laminate labor comes to $1.99/Sq Ft. For a damp basement or a mudroom, waterproof vinyl plank is the safer call.
It is delivered the next day from our Natick warehouse, which is right next to Framingham. Installers usually start soon after the boxes arrive.
One new hardwood tread is $60, with the riser, nosing, stain and labor included. Existing sound steps can be refinished at $50 each.
Labor is due when installers show up and material is due when cartons are dropped off. For sanding, half is paid at the outset and half with the last coat.
Labor comes with a one year warranty, and the wood has the manufacturer warranty. The installers are our own employees, with license, insurance and NWFA certification.
