Walkthrough Before We Start
Old farmhouses settle, and a hall can slope an inch or more over a century. Our crew lead checks the joists, the thresholds and the stair landing before one board is ordered.

Every installer who works in your Brookfield home is on our payroll, licensed and insured, and holds NWFA certification, never a hired-in sub.
Before the first nail, we tape out each room and stage the cartons, trim and reducers where the boards will go, which keeps the install moving without hunting for parts.
You get twelve months on our labor, and the boards come with the mill warranty, so both the craft and the lumber are backed.

Boards run along the longest wall, which wastes the least wood and makes a narrow hall look longer.

Short boards turned ninety degrees in a stepped zigzag are cut one at a time. They look right in an old dining room.

Each row is mitered at 45 degrees and meets its neighbor in a clean V, a look that works in an updated kitchen.

Planks set on the diagonal pull the eye across a room, so a small den near Quaboag Pond seems wider than it is.

Oak squares with the grain alternating, parquet style, suit a sunporch or a front sitting room in an older home.

Short strips woven over and under, often framed by a darker border, echo the Victorian trim on some West Main Street houses.

Nail-down labor is a flat $2.25/Sq Ft, and nails plus underlayment are part of it. With the boards from us as well, the package is $5.50/Sq Ft unfinished or $6.00/Sq Ft prefinished.
Yes. We tear out the carpet and pad, pull the tack strips, screw down any loose subfloor and nail new oak over a solid base. Tear-out of old flooring is about $1.00/Sq Ft.
Engineered hardwood. It floats on pad with glued joints, so nothing is nailed into the slab, and the labor is $2.00/Sq Ft.
We do. Vinyl plank labor is $2.00/Sq Ft and laminate labor is $1.99/Sq Ft, and both are worth a look for mudrooms and below-grade rooms.
Delivery is next day from our Natick warehouse. Once the boxes are in the house, scheduling the crew is the only thing left.
Yes. A new hardwood tread is $60, with riser, nosing and stain in the price. Sound oak steps can be refinished for $50 each.
Labor is paid when the crew arrives and work begins. Material is paid as the boxes are delivered, and there is no deposit just to hold a date.
Our work carries a one-year labor warranty, and the flooring carries the maker's warranty. Everyone on site is licensed, insured and NWFA certified.
