Red oak or white, two and a quarter inch or wider, flat sawn or quartered: we pin all of it down, then dab stain onto every new piece until nobody can pick it out.

The free visit is detective work. We read moisture, poke at soft spots, peek into the basement below and figure out why it failed, so the fix actually lasts.
Strips that pop underfoot get anchored back into the subfloor. Cracks that yawn open every heating season get packed, so kitchen grit has nowhere to hide.
Nobody subcontracts your repair. Our NWFA trained people hold a license plus insurance, and if their patch lets go within twelve months, they return.

There is no flat repair price, because one cracked strip and a whole soaked hallway are completely different jobs. We look first, for free, and then hand you a written number.
Most of the time. Species, width and grain get matched first, then stain is tested on new pieces until they blend. Very old or unusual wood sometimes needs the room refinished to look seamless.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Little patches frequently feather in without touching the rest. Larger repairs or big color gaps look best when the room is refinished, and we say so honestly.
That is called cupping. The underside soaked up more moisture than the top, frequently traced to a drip, cellar dampness or snowmelt at an entry. We find the cause before replacing anything.
Light marks can. Dark, nearly black spots have gone deep, meaning replacement pieces go in, then get tinted until they match everything nearby.
Usually. Many visits happen a day or two after you call, and simple fixes can start the next day. Big water damage might need drying time before any wood goes back in.
You get a written price after the free visit. When a repair comes bundled with sanding, the split is 50% upfront that first morning and 50% at the end, no extra fees.
You have a year of labor coverage on any repair. If our replaced strip loosens or a filled crack reopens on our account, we redo it.
