Stain settles into sanding scratches and darkens them, so after the big machine we buff with fine screens and vacuum each pass.
We work the stain across one small area, wipe off what the oak did not absorb and only then move on, so no overlap lines appear.
Staining in Essex is done by Brazil Floors employees, NWFA trained and insured, with a twelve month labor warranty.

Essex floors are stained for $2.00/Sq Ft, which pays for the taped samples on your boards, the hand rubbed color and a clear protective coat. If the oak also needs a complete sanding and three coats of polyurethane, that is the $2.50/Sq Ft refinishing service.
